It's been 14 year since Harry Potter was introduced to the world and we just got back from seeing what amounts to the conclusion of all that is Potter. All I have to say is that it did not disappoint. Absolutely FANTASTIC. The few changes that they made from the book only added to the action and story and flowed wonderfully. As with Lord of the Rings (the books more so than the movies...but still the same effect in both) when the end credits rolled it left us feeling nostalgic and a little sad. Like saying good-bye to some very old and dear friends...forever. That's really the only negative thing I can say about this and really, that just goes to show how well done the books and movies have been to be able to evoke that sentiment. This goes without saying, but if you followed Harry Potter at all, this is an absolute MUST see.

Have to agree with the above. Fantastic conclusion. My favorite since the very 1st film. Wraps up things nicely. This movie had a touch of everything. Comedy, Action, heart and the family loved it.

I am probably one of the only people on the planet that had stayed spoiler free of the last book and movie. I have been waiting for this for a long time. My expectations were high and usually that means I end up being disappointed. That simply was not the case. If I had one complaint is that we didn't get to see what happens to Deloris Umbridge and Wormtail. Those two character did some pretty nasty things and I would have loved to see some scenes where they get what is coming to them which I thought was a mistake after their roles in previous films.

However, only a minor complaint and simply a great conclusion to the franchise. If you are a fan this is a must see.

i think even if you're not a fan, people should do themselves a favor and see this. I wouldn't come close to consider myself being a fan... I'd slept through the first movie, didn't see the second, really enjoyed the 3rd then caught bits and pieces of the next three movies, enough to know pretty well what was going on and was pretty blown away by the finale. It was just a really smart, fun, exciting, emotional finale that anyone who likes movies and even followed this is tiny bit should be incredibly entertained by. Hollywood doesn't make blockbusters much better than this.

Good point and I agree.

Hollywood has a bad habit of crapping on franchise finales. They always build them up and I walk away sometimes thinking....that is it?

This finale is simply one of the best finales I have ever seen in any movie franchise.

Just watched this on Blu Ray and really enjoyed it. I wasn't a big fan of the first 3 or 4 movies, perhaps because I only read the first 3 or 4 books and wasn't totally enamored of those either. However, I forced myself to give it another try about a year ago and have gradually come to love the movie series. This was an excellent conclusion to a very well done series. My wife and I started re-watching this series 8 days ago in anticipation of the Blu Ray release and we both feel a little empty knowing there is no more to come.

Finally finished the series. Great stuff, but I'm sure that a plethora of stuff flew right over my head without me knowing it. Someday I plan to read these books and rewatch the series. Perhaps I'll add that to my todo list as a grandpa someday.

I read all the books and saw all the movies and would recommend the books and movies to everyone. A really, really great series, with Hallows Part II being the crown jewel of it all. Very, very good movie.
