I honestly dont care if he wins the cy young this year.. All I remember is about 2 years before he went to the yankees a reporter asked him what else he would like to accomplish.. Randy said " to play for the yankees".. Now that that didnt work for him were suppose to welcome him back with open arms? F THAT!

B Webb is the future.. S Drew too..

I just can not find it in my heart to cheer for Randy the way I once did..

I couldn't care less what Randy said. I think getting all hung up on crap like that is tantamount to reading tabloid magazines and getting upset that Brittney dumped K-Fed. Who cares? There is so much more to worry about in life.

Randy Johnson is a really good pitcher, thats all care. The only reason I am even slightly mad at him is because he cut off his sweet mullet.

If I can cheer for Mario Elie as a Suns fan I can always cheer for Randy Johnson.

Putting his comments to the side, Randy Johnson did a lot of good for the Arizona Diamondback organization as a whole.

Think about this for a second-- he was the first major name free agent to sign out here (I don't quite consider Bell, Benes or the others that they signed early on to be on that level) and he made Phoenix, AZ seem like a legitimate landing ground for free agents.

He won multiple Cy Youngs and many games here. He was the key and driving force behind Arizona winning the World Series in 2001, and when it's all said and done, I guarantee you he'll be the first person to go in to Cooperstown wearing the Diamondback cap.

So, with all said, yes I welcome Randy back to the Desert. At first, I was receptive because of the price tag of talent being mentioned as headed to New York, however that was more of reluctance to trade people who I felt should be in Arizona's long term plans more than it was reluctance to get Johnson back.

I have no problem with Randy saying what he said. I have a problem with the new regime.

why take the guy bck after you trade him.

Im glad he is bck because it would have been tuff to be competitive without him.

Ma Falaa, why not?

They decided for the next two years, he was a worthwhile investment.

I wonder which hat he will wear to the Hall of Fame?? Red or Purple??

I personally don't have a problem with any of his comments or anything else. He has done a whole lot for our team and organization and I haven't forgotten about that. He helped bring a WS in just the franchise's 4th season and that in itself is enough for me to welcome him back. Not to mention all of the wins he helped put up and CY's and everything else.
