Sorry but this is beyond stupid. Whiz is, by far, the best coach we have ever had. Do you guys not remmember what our franchise was like prior to him????

Yeah kind of looked like all of last year and so far this year doesnt look much different.

You know Conrad, I've just got this queasy feeling in my stomach that the way PP21 is being handled just isn't right. Can't put my finger on it, but something seems amiss. I dunno, maybe I'm just paranoid.

.

So Whis gets roasted when he doesn't start young players (Williams, Wells, and DRC) and then he isn't handling it right when he does?

Not attacking you, but for once I do think he is handling it right. He's not filling our head with delusions that Richard Marshall is the answer over Peterson. He's clearly the future at CB, and because of injuries the future is now.

I wouldn't take it as an attack anyway, Krang, so no problem. I haven't argued either way as far as starting rookies or not. I was just stating my opinion that something just doesn't feel right to me. Just a feeling, that's all. I did state that maybe I'm just paranoid.

It could have more to do with the fact that Rhodes and Wilson seem to not be in position behind him. He may well be thinking, wtf??, these guys have been in the league for years and they're screwing up coverages and they don't know what's going on either.

The last thing I want is for Peterson to not be comfortable playing for the Cards or with his coaches and teammates. I'm an LSU fan and was just elated when he was drafted. I don't ever want to see him to go the way of Q, Dansby, et al.

I'm not near ready to call for Whiz to be fired, because I do think he has helped changed the culture of Arizona Cardinals football. I do, however, think that Whiz received too much of the credit. I do believe that Kurt Warner bailed the coaching staff out of a lot of bad situations, and it kind of speaks to how great Warner was for the last 2 1/2 years of his career.

As has been mentioned, Whiz has said a lot of things that I just don't believe anymore. "We will be a disciplined team". "We are commited to running the football." A lot of the issues the Cardinals had when Whiz came aboard are still problems today. Lack of a run game, horrible offensive line, and undisciplined defense. Not much has been done to correct these issues. Competition for positions is fine, but I don't like the way he handled Patrick Peterson in camp and preseason, though guys like Porter, who didn't have a great year, was pretty much given the job this year again. I've never liked the way he's handled the RB situation, both with Beanie and Timmy while he was here.

The year they went to the Super Bowl, they were an above average 9-7 team who feasted off a horrible division to make to the playoffs and got hot at the right time. In part I thought it was because they finally got the run game going which opened up Warner to Fitzgerald. Not once did I ever feel it was because of the coaching. Warner really was the coach on the field.

I like Whiz, I want to keep Whiz, but I hope he starts learning from some of these mistakes. At first I chalked it up to him being a new HC, but at some point, that faded. I do think he has potential to be a really good coach. I just hope it happens sooner than later.

Rab, You and ConradDobler make a lot of sense to me. But unless I miss my guess, we have seen out of Whiz EXACTLY what Whiz will ever give us. He will NOT improve upon what he does, and how he does it, because he doesn't see that anything he is doing needs to be changed. With him, all the changing needs to be from his players and assistant coaches. In his mind, he has ALWAYS made the correct decisions, and if its not working, then someone else is failing to fix the problems, (either the players or coaches). Those closest to him, (both players and coaches) are 'yes' men who only tell Whiz what he wants to hear. They will be here as long as he remains here, and they remain loyal to him, (which in his mind means telling him what he wants to hear).

I said this before we had the SB run, and again in '09. I was going to wait until this season is over to talk about it again, but since others have opened this up to discussion, I will include my piece. A tiger does not change his stripes, and Whiz will never become the class 'A' coach that so many on this board believe him to be. What you have seen is what you will continue to see out of him. He will only show loyalty to those with whom he has a long-standing relationship, or who have long since proved their worth in this league, or whom he has chosen to champion.

He was more or less forced to accept Warner as his starter because of his outright dislike for Leinart, and Warner rewarded him with a SB run and two playoff berths. He will continue to play Porter and Haggans, even though they are beyond their ability to make a difference. He continues to start Wilson even though he is a distinct liability in coverage, and always will be. He was reluctant to start Washington last year because he was a rookie, and in his mind Washington proved him to be correct by lining up in the wrong spot (once), in a game where he excelled. Whiz promptly benched him in favor of more veteran players who could no longer make a difference. It only matters to Whiz, what he believes is truth, and what his 'loyal' chosen ones tell him. If you don't believe me, then watch what happens when (God Forbid) someone questions him about why we don't run the ball any more than we do, or why our running backs are never good enough to be trusted with the game on the line, yet they can run fine for other teams when they leave here.

I am really waining on CKW. For the last 5 years we hear after the games press conference Wiz stating it was my fault for the bad play calling and I am going to fix that. 5 years of the same thing or it was sombody's else fault. Hey Coach you are head coach of this team. DO Somthing!! Tell Davis if he doesnt get with the game plan and start protecting you multi-million dollar QB your benched period! Tell Russ Grimm, Russ your are my buddy but you need to step it up or I will have to replace you. Mike B you need to jump up and down on Ron Graves and screem if you have to to get your point across that if you dont see improvments fast you (Ron) will be looking for a new job. This is totaly unaccpetable. 5 years of the same B.S. talking.

Enought of my ranting, carry on smartly.

It's bizzare, because otherwise I like CKW, it's just something weird about how he deals with certain players.

Whiz has a QB again, if your gonna hate you better do so right now, unless Kolb gets injured the offense will be pimp. Whiz + QB = playoffs (where anything can happen) , it's that simple. I wish he would switch it up some sometimes, but I aint losing faith after the second game of the friggin season. Especially after losing by only a point, on the road, which happened while we were on our game winning drive bit Stuckey thought we were going for the Charlie Sheen type of winning. Whiz, Graves, the new Bidwill, Fitz, Kolb....they are all staying! :) Can't believe I threw Graves in there? Neither can I ! I see big things happening this offseason, 2012-2016 is what I'm talking about. Grimm should have caught a ride out of the building with our old DC.

I hate

I want it out of my system, but He gonna kill Kolb, the oline and the defense! Maybe he likes Beanie? and would like to see him play for another team at 24 years old?

Whiz is a tool, It is an easy correction. Act like a NFL coach instead, Grimm would run the ball wouldn't he? more than 15 carries against his Redskins?

I bet Grimm is embarressed or drunk!

Yes

HELL YES.

Without the second coming of Kurt Warner, Whis would have been fired a season or two ago.

His coaching style resembles (insert the last 6 Oakland Raiders coaches here)

No discipline, no defense.. and today.. No offense.

Why in the hell do you stop the hurry up, when it was clearly working??? Even the announcer picked up on that.

Whiz, Grimm, Levi, and Graves should be on the first train out of town next offseason.

I think Kolbs the guy for some time to come but will be squandered in mediocrity if the current management and coaching remain. Suck it up and bite the bullet this offseason and rebuild the coaching staff.

I'd like to know how the team managed to lose the momentum from winning back to back NFC West Titles.

I know almost all of those players are gone but surely that would have been passed on in the locker room. I mean the team had been passing on the losing culture for years. Why not the winning one.

That's because quitters never win and duct tape comes in many colors.
