Even though it ultimately took a fallaway bank shot at the buzzer, the Washington Wizards showed that they can beat the top-seeded Atlanta Hawks without John Wall. Amid reports that its All-Star point guard may not return, Washington will try to put together a more complete performance Monday night when it seeks a commanding 3-1 lead in the Eastern Conference semifinals. After falling to 2-3 this season without Wall in Tuesday's 106-90 loss in Atlanta, the Wizards got several key contributions in building a 21-point fourth-quarter lead Saturday before needing Paul Pierce's 21-foot jumper over three defenders as time expired to escape with a 103-101 win in Game 3.
