Baltimore Orioles outfielder Tyler O'Neill extended his Major League Baseball record by hitting a home run on Opening Day for the sixth season in a row.

Making his Orioles debut after signing a three-year, $49.5 million contract, O'Neill hit a three-run homer in the third inning off Toronto Blue Jays starter Jose Berrios, extending Baltimore's lead to 5-0.

O'Neill's streak dates back to 2020 when he was with the St. Louis Cardinals. He went on to homer in the first game of the season in 2021, 2022 and 2023 with St. Louis, before joining – and homering for – the Boston Red Sox in 2024.
