I am getting a new computer and want to transfer my files to it. What is the best way to do it and is there any special program that can do it?

Windows XP has a files and settings wizard, not sure if that's what you mean.

To transfer files, the best method would be to burn them onto a CD, or a couple of CD's. Do you have a burner?

The things to look for that you really want to save:

My Documents
Saved game files
Usernames and passwords
Serial numbers of software you might install on your other system

Probably some other things too.

There is a program that will do the work for you in Windows XP:

Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Sytem Tools "File and transfer wizard"

You just burn the file it generates to a disk or you can transfer it over a network and then "unpack it" then your computer will have the same exact settings and transfere whatever files you want

Are the computers going to be networked? If not, I think you can use one of those little keychain USB dealies to transfer some stuff. That might be tedious if you have a lot of stuff, though.
