With their #1 RB and #1 WR sitting on the sidelines.

They proved why they are the best team in football.

End of story!

I wouldn't call it "kicking of butt"... we were right into it until their last drive when they kicked the FG.

It was nice for our ST to give them starting drives at our 40 and 30 yard lines...

No question they are the best team but we played tough and had a chance.

Vegas, baby, yeah!
They're a complete team - no doubt about it.

We're still getting better - and despite the loss, it was great to go against the best team in the NFL in our house to see how we'd do.

We had our chances. You have to win 3 out four phases of the game (offense, defense, special teams and the turnover battle) We lost the last 2 and probably could call the others a draw. Losing the TO batlle beats you 77% of the time!!!

I watched the game with a diehard Giants fan & we both thought it was a great game. Our ST's cost us the game. Keep in mind that we were without Hood & we really, really need him in the lineup. The Giants are the BEST team in football & we hung in there with them. The Cardinals are an up & coming team, but they are not ready to vie for a Championship just yet. But they certainly DID NOT kick our ass!!!

However, we had our #1CB sitting on the sidelines and they killed us through the air.

But they're still 11 points better than the Cards.

They are the champs and proved that today. We played tough, but hey, we ain't that good - yet. I think we beat the Beag;les and end that 0-10,000 streak of West teams going East.

Giants rushing yards avg 3.22 - they avg more than 5 yards
Time of possession Giants 30:37 Cards 29:23 - so much for ball control offense
Total net yards Giants 321 Cards 371!
Sacks Giants 1 Cards 1 - so much for their fierce pass rush

Killer difference... turnovers Giants 0 Cards 2 - both resulted in scores

AND... the biggest difference ST plays

- botched extra point
- Kickoff return for Giants 3-180!!!

Not having Hood was big. He probably gets the pick at the goal line that Green dropped. And, i know he makes the play by turning his head that Green didn't. Still, the Giants are pretty damn good. They don't turn the ball over and their specila teams won it. Or should i say our special teams lost it.

Green proved why he is #3 and possibly the #4 CB on the depth chart today. Having Hood out did not help.

Our secondary went back to running into the ball carrier rather than wrapping up and it cost them.

Special teams was terrible. Coverage was bad. Dirk Johnson was....well....Dirk Johnson. When will Whisenhunt's man crush on this guy end? Another botched hold??

I was expecting the worst and hoping for the best. Right now im putting this in perspective: these are the defending champs and we weren't blown out.

With the rest of the division losing, the magic number is now 1. We need to win on Thanksgiving. Shake it off Cards!!

I doubt that game reassured the hardcore Giants fans that they are the best team in football. They were better than us today. I don't know how much more they can take from the game unless they are willing to say the Cardinals are one of the elite teams. I doubt the Giants fans or many pundits are going to declare us one of the elites. If our special teams didn't gift this thing to the Giants we probably win.

Im as diehard a Cards fan as there is... but guys the Giants are clearly the superior team..

They were missing Brandon Jacobs and Plax... and while Ill forget bout Plax since we had no Hood.. they still didnt have their #1 back..

That being said they took a 24-12 lead.. we fought back hard, but then they take the ball and effortessly move it 80 yards to retake the game and essentially drive the nail in the coffin..

For those who didnt think their pass rush was that great cause they only had 1 sack... Kurt was battered all day, he rushed numerous throws, fumbled once that led to point, and threw a bad pick that led to points..

Their Dline had their way with our Oline when it mattered and their Oline dominated our Dline.. did we even touch Eli after the first quarter?

Giants are a superior team in every facet.. they are the best team in football.. and I felt the 8 point loss could have been worse given how easily they passed the ball on us, how they shut down our run, and how they were in Warner's face all day

Big Giants fan here, and I have to say, great game Cards fans!

Today I found out just how good the Cardinals are. They play a physical brand of football that really surprised me having only seen one of their games this season. I truly believe the Cards can play with anyone at home and the Cards offense is phenominal.

Very impressed by this team, I do not want to see them play my Giants in the playoffs.

The O Line was extremely impressive limiting the Giants to one sack and one forced fumble.

At the end of the day, the special teams play for both teams was the deciding factor. Hixon with a couple huge returns and the inability of the Cards to get their hands on that first, beautifully executed on-sides that was recovered by Chase Blackburn.

I have a lot of respect for this Cardinals team, they are for real.

I'd say "hope we meet in the playoffs" but I don't want any part of this Cardinals team in January.

We can get where they are and we should strive for that, we need more defensive help and seasoning and we need better playcalling on both sides of the ball.

The gap is not that wide though, if we played them on a neutral field again it'd be close again, if we play them in their house, we probably get stomped.

They're better than us but then again they're better than almost everyone else too.

I realize this is like clockwork, but it remains an issue for this team that will cost us dearly in the playoffs:

We need better run blocking. 23 total rushing yards against anyone with any offense is completely unacceptable and is not gonna win very many games.

Once again, I love our aerial attack, but our run game is just horrific.. there must be a way to keep the aerial attack and create some level of effieciency in running the ball..

All the stupid delayed handoffs need to end.. if we do run, just hit up the gut..

I feel we still need a couple upgrades on the Oline if we want to become a more balanced offense.. this group knows how to pass block relatively well, but they cant run block at all..

Also, we need more playmakers in the front 7.. guys who are better at getting to the QB

The New York team, did prove it was the best team in football today. It just wasn't this New York team.

We are fine on the front 7. They get a lot of hits on the QB. Even Eli was taking shots today. The problem is that the receivers get open so quickly that quick passing schemes like the Giants have tend to decimate us. Our front 7 just held one of the best running teams to less than 90 yards today. And they didnt commit any penalties. The one thing I would change is I would have Gabe Watson in more than Bryan Robinson.

The front 7 plus Wilson crowded the box all day and sold out to stop the run..

We should have been able to stop it given they had no Jacobs and we went overboard trying to stop the run..

Our OLB in our front 7 need to be upgraded.. Laboy and Berry are okay in spot duty, but we need a real pass rusher who's gonna come in put up double digit sacks..

Laboy, Okeafor, Berry, Haggans is a solid group, but not exceptional at all.. there isnt a great talent amongst them

Would also be nice if one of our NT stepped up..

the defense took away the Giants preferred MO by stopping the run.

Ordinarily, you would think having Wilson play close to the line would expose deep passing plays -- but the Giants passed short for the most part.

The Cards defensive issue this year has been covering the pass and today was no exception. Some of it is pass rush, but that isnt all of it--

The Cards need corners. DRC is going to be a good one, but Hood being out today exposed the lack of depth.

Eric Green just doesnt make any plays.

It seems Francisco is limited as well.

The Cards have stopped the run all season. 7 of 11 games holding opponents to less than 100 total and only Deangelo Williams has gone over 100 individually.

That is why Dansby needs to be playing outside in our 3-4 defense
