Hockey Night in Canada: Don Cherry

hockey night is a great broadcast - love it on center ice - in fact all the canadian broadcasts are pretty solid

a lot of people don't like don - he's a windbag, but I find him entertaining

He is without a doubt a windbag, but I agree he is entertaining.

And the suits.....well above says it all.

Windbag doesn't even describe what a douche he is. Canadians love him for some reason.

The only reason he wears those ridiculous suits is to distract viewers from really paying attention to his rants and "analysis"

The thing that sucks is that Toronto plays nearly every week on Saturday night, obviously done for a reason. Even though TO is terrible this year they still show their games nationally rather than the other games they film for local areas on Hockey Night in Canada. It's really quite annoying.

A few weeks ago TO played Phoenix (who will get on occasionally because of Gretzky) and I was so happy to see the Coyotes beat them badly with all of Canada watching.

A constant gripe for fans of other teams, particularly Montreal and Ottawa, whose home games start at the same time, while the second game is generally hosted by a westen team. The Canadiens do get a huge viewership for the French broadcast, though, but that's not available coast-to-coast.
