Binged this over the weekend. A Ryan Murphy production - a fictionalized version of Hollywood in the post WWII Era.


We enjoyed it.

Eh, there were a lot of fun bits, but the last two episodes made me increasingly roll my eyes. One other problem to it I'll mention in the spoilers. Overall worth the watch, though.

Like, I get it, that the show wanted to be an alternate history Hollywood that embraced diversity way back when, but damn! Talk about saccharine sweetness. Gagged on so much sweetness.

Also, the whole Rock Hudson thing, and mixing in "real" Hollywood, sucked. If you're going to use the real world, use it roughly as it was--the only accurate thing about Rock Hudson was the name of the agent and that he was gay! Plus, not differentiating between the real and phony Hollywood just clouded the series.
