I mean, I see the same problems you're all seeing. A-Dub getting torched in coverage; WR's running wide-open with no one with-in 10 feet of them; QB's sitting back in the pocket thinking, Hmmmm?? Who's turn is it this time? ; RB's gashing us for seemingly 5-yards every pop...
And then there's the offense which can't seem to keep anyone out of our backfield the moment the ball is snapped; Fitz' & the kids, etc.
So, why am I okay?? Well, I liked what I saw in Max. Quick. Decisive. Most of his throws were catchable. ...And even w/the most intense pressure on I kept thinking he might actually get away and get the pass off. Watching D.A. was just too painful. It was like knowing the train-wreck was coming. You just didn't know which play it was going to happen. A football game rides on emotion. Make that play for a score and it lifts the whole team. But, over-throw an open WR for a TD (ie; Williams) and the team just sags.
Now, if Whiz' goes back to D.A. for the Saints' game I will officially become a "dark-sider". At least, until, Max gets back in there. GO CARDS!
And while a Super Bowl appearance seems like a completely bizarre thought at this point...We are 2-2 and tied for 1st. 1-0 in the division (tie-breaker w/the Rams). ... and did I mention the 49'ers are 0-4??
One final thought. Did anyone see the end of the 49'ers game?? S.F. DB picks off Ryan with about a minute and a half to go w/the 49'ers leading. Game over, right?? Uh, NO. The hot-dog tries to score a TD to get on ESPN that night. FUMBLE! Falcons recovered, moved down the field, and kicked the winning FG. ALL he had to do was fall down and seal the win but, nooooooooooooo, watch me everyone. Watch me! Yeah, I watched. How's 0-4 feel?
