Why, God, why?

What else can I say. You all know me and my love for cheesy schlock movies but man, this was just horrible. This movie was about as much fun as a kick to the groin. I'd rather sit through Pinata: Survival Island again than watch this steaming pile of celluloid excrement. I can't say anything good about this movie. How this thing escaped straight-to-video release is beyond me. If this director can make a film than every one of us should campaign Hollywood for a job.

Rent "House of 1,000 Corpses" instead. Rob Zombie directs, and does an excellent job of creating a 70's vibe for this film. This is not your run-of-the-mill, good-guy-wins, Hollywood horror film. Although it gets a little long-winded toward the end, this film definitely breathes some life into a horror genre that has become stale.

Have 1,000 Corpses on DVD. Love it. Zombie is putting out an uncut version sometime next year.

I would agree that the horror genre has gotten a bit stale as of late (hence the reason Hollywood has started cranking out unnecessary remakes) but help is on the way. With the recent success in low budget horror more indie directors are being brought up to do original projects for the studios so hopefully 2004-5 will see more quality stuff.

Oh, and Zombie said Lion's Gate wants a 1,000 Corpses sequel for Halloween '04.

I'm sorry, but House of 1,000 Corpses was very, VERY lame. I turned it off after about 1/2 an hour. I mean, it just flat-out sucked. Okay, I get it already...they stopped off for this project they're doing, it's a freaky middle-of-nowhere place, and bad stuff's going to happen. Cheesy-bad setup, didn't seem too original, and horribly acted.

And if anyone says, 'well, you have to watch the whole thing to like it', well...horse hockey. If you watch a movie for 1/2 an hour and it's not doing anything, it's a failure.

I am a huge fan of horror movies, but House of thousand Corpses sucked. I couldn't even watch the whole thing. Same thing with Wrong Turn, and every other recent horror movie, with the notable exceptions of Freddy vs. Jeson, and Texas Chainsaw masacre.

I might call you insane, but I don't want to be insulting or anything.

It was hokey, and not in a good way. The acting completely and utterly sucked. The story was original, but not really very exciting or cool. All these elements together made for me turning it off.

Now everybody's just missing the point. House of the Dead is by far the worst movie I've seen in years. It was so bad I'm rounding up everybody I know and dragging them to the dollar theaters when it plays there just so they'll quit accusing me of overstating how bad it is.

Since George Romero quit making zombie films, they have all sucked. House of 1000 is good because it's retro, and if you watch someof the older horror films, they tend to drag during some parts, but that never really bothered me.

Just thought I'd give everybody a head's up that this cinematic masterpiece will be on video store shelves tomorrow (Jan 27). If you want to see the absolute worst movie ever made, now's your chance to do so for fairly cheap (although you'll still want your money back).
