Our office had a little success this past week, which is always good. Anyway, I come to work today after having worked about three straight weeks without a day off, putting in long hours.

So i sit down and see an envelope. Inside are 4 lower level tickets to see the Big Red peck the crap out of the Rams this Sunday! Face value of $100 each.

I guess you could say I am 1) stoked, 2) pumped, and 3) psyched all at the same time. Add 4 Cards fans to the total!

It pays to work for great people :)

Go Birds!!!!

what a solid gesture by your employer

I am wondering-- were football tix the standard reward, or did they know you were a Cards fan and tailored their thanks?

it's a tailored thanks - everyone here calls me the "world's only cardinals fan" - even though i swear there's more out there :)

when you walk in my office, you see the handpainted and flawless cards helmet my brother made me for christmas 2 years ago. and, of course, my computer background is the dallas blocked punt.

i'm 30 with a 4 year old, but i'm even thinking about painting my face this sunday. immaturity may reign supreme!

I'm curious as to where you work. I'm originally from Murphysboro, IL glad to hear there are a few Card fans (football of course) still around back in the So ILL.

I still catch flack from friends back home about Bidwill this, Bidwill that; I point out the state of our team now that we have a stadium. That doesn't excuse the front office from years of bad decisions but things have definitely improved.

good for you --

both for getting to go to the game, but also working for somebody who took the time to get you something you would really value

too many employers think some free pizza is the way to thank employees for a job well done

i work for a firm here in marion. originally a red devil, huh?

my dad used to have season tix before they left in 1988 when i was 10. i loved going to STL to see the Big Red.

ever get back to watch the salukis play basketball? can't wait for this year. i'm down to basically two sports teams: the football cardinals and the basketball salukis!

Kind of weird blue devil (junior high), red devil (high school), saluki (under), and sun devil (grad).

I don't get back much to see the salukis play but I watch them on t.v. every chance I get, got to see them play ASU two years ago as well (lost).
