I tend to be a reader and not a poster, but I remember some you pointed out the cardinals have to spend at least a certain percentage of salary cap before the season starts. Have they made this minimum? Or do they have to get a couple guys like LJ to re-up before the season starts, or pick up some cut free agents.
Thanks for the reply.

If I am correct they cant have more then around 6 million of dead cap space. Which means we need to spend about 4 more million. Graves needs to get on the phone with Thompsons, Wilsons, and Sheltons agents or hope to find 4 mill worth of cut FA's.

IMO all need to be redone right away, you end up saving money in the long run that way.

I don't know about extending all three. LJ has always been terrible inconsistent, so I'm not that thrilled about giving him a new contract just after the first season, where he played up to his potential. Barrett is solid, but with all the CBs becoming FAs next year, why not wait and see who's out there?

That leaves Thompson. He was the best player on D last year and he's just coming into his prime, so give him a new deal ASAP.. Now we know that Graves is allowed to get creative with the contracts there shouldn't be any problem filling up the "cap hole" with Thompson's contract alone. Just add the signing bonus to base salary the first year - the minimum is met and you save some cap space for the remainding contract period.
