Finishing out the month of April:

Leading the the NL in Runs and Second in MLB.
Second in the NL in OPS and in MLB.
Leading all of MLB in SLG.
25 runs in the last two games.

All the while with Jackson and Montero on the DL.

Pretty impressive and  goes out to the team.

It's fun to watch the offense when it produces.

But we are still below .500 . And, with all due respect to Jackson and Montero, Parra and Snyder are hitting just as well as they did, if not better, at this time. Although I, too, and am eager to see Miggy and CoJack return. But keep Johnson at leadoff. :)

So we're near the top offensively, but mediocre in won-lost percent. We're not the only ones. A week ago, the Dodger lineup had seven .300 hitters and their W-L percentage is .364 .

As the old saying goes, good pitching beats good hitting.

Leading the majors in walking in runs. Worse bullpen ERA in the NL. Ugh.

Is it just me or does Heilman look completely intimidated on the mound?

Oh no... definitely not just you. He's been that way his entire career. Heck, when the Mets got rid of his sorry as, all of Queens held a borough-wide celebration!! He is putrid...

Talk about fireworks. I never thought I'd see so many runs next to Arizona's baseball team. It's usually the Suns that light up the scoreboard. However that pitching is atrocious. Which is unfortunate to waste that offense. I don't know who has looked good, but many have looked bad. Dan Haren isn't up to par, Edwin Jackson is a joke thus far.
