I remember this hit vividly. What is not shown:
1. The 250,000 flags that littered the field after the hit, since it was a defenseless receiver situation.
2. Adrian Wilson picking himself off the ground after diving for the ball, looking at Johnson, asking him if it was his hit that drew the flags, and then laughing about it when Johnson must have said something to the effect of, "Yeah, that was me"

So, on to the topic. How do we win this game ?
Personally.... I have no idea. We can win this game, that I am sure of, but how is always the question.
This Cardinals team is almost the anti-2008 team, yet obviously a HOF QB catching on fire is more easy to control then what a defense can do for you.
But, our defense won the game against Philly. No doubt about it. They play that way against SF, and we win. No doubt about it.
The biggest hurdle is our defensive line versus the 49'er offensive line. Philly's line is not that good, where as the Niners line is very good.
RM's Gameplan on Defense:
1. Stop the run. Easier said then done, but it can be done. Do not let Frank Gore do what he LOVES to do, and break off big runs, and big plays.
2. Force the pass to the outsides. Vernon Davis owns Adrian Wilson (some send that to A-Dub!). Do not let Davis have a game against us. Give the Niners Randy Moss on Toler/Gay. But don't let Davis, and Delanie Walker beat us over the middle.
3. Pressure Alex Smith. He is a good game manager, but if you get him in the wrong mind set, he will throw picks, and he will fumble the ball.
4. Realize this is the Rams/Seahawks games all over again. field position is key. At least we don't have Legatron to deal with this time.
RM's Gameplan on Offense:
1. Kneel three times and kick a FG or punt. LOL. I kid, I kid.
2. The offense has to be balanced. It is the only way our offense moves the ball. Our COACHES have to be more patient, and they have to believe in their defense. This can't be the Rams game, or the Viking game where we press to hard to catch up points wise when we don't really need to.
3. Two 1st downs. The offense, and I hate to say it, has to take this game a 1st down at a time. Two first downs per possession will allow the defense some rest, and help the field position battle.
4. Run the rock, even if it is into a wall. You know what really, really sucks? We have been doing really well winning the time of possession battle. Yet, our offense cannot close the deal. Well, continue to do this, and try to be ultra-conservative once in field goal range.
5. Take at least 3 shots. Chances. There will be opportunities in the game where the location on the field, and the time of the game line up to where you just have to throw it up to Fitz. It is a risk, and a low percentage chance for something to happen, but it is Fitz. We know the guy can do some things out on that field. ALSO, the Cardinals can take a chance without the risk, and setup a play or two off Skelton's hard count. Get the Niners to jump offsides, and then throw it deep off a "free play".
RM's Gameplan on Offense:
1. Hubris. Jim Harbaugh wants to dictate play. Sure. Go ahead there big guy. If our defense does what it has to do, the Harbaugh will go to what he knows. He will play field position, keep it close football. Fine with us. I will take a close game in the 4th quarter.
2. Special Teams - I know I am in the minority, but our special teams have not been good enough. PP7 is going to have a tough time trying to do something with Andy Lee's punts. Unless luck gives us a shank that stays in bounds, that situation will be taken away from us. Jay Feely has to get his head out of his butt and get back to being clutch, and our return teams have to have there best days, because Ginn Jr. is no one to fool around with.
3. Bring a four leaf clover. Cause, IMO, we don't win without a little luck, and few bounces.
