Frankly, I feel glad the Suns moved on. It will be painful for a while, but I will be very surprised if he comes close to earning that contract.

i agree. its time for suns fans to get over what could have and should have been from amare.

IMO he has the talent but will never have the drive to be the completely dominate player he should be, and its time for us to stop looking for it in him

Amare represents what could have been for the Suns. If Amare had stayed healthy I would have wanted the Suns to keep Amare and give him that 100 million dollar contract. Too bad it did not work out for the Suns and Amare. It was just to risky for a franchise like the Suns to bet that Amare stays healthy for 5 years.

I wish Amare well. Amare and the Suns had an amicable parting which is rare in these days.

In the pic, it looks like Amare hasn't got his 'legs' yet, he barely got the ball over the rim...

Sadness and memories of the last years come to my mind. It just looks wrong to see him in a non- Suns uniform to me.

That dude on the Italian team needs to shave that thing on his chin. Looks horrible.

It's going to be weird to see Amare owning other PF's in the league and doing it in a Knicks uniform.

Why is there any doubt that Amare is a very good offensive player? Even when he wasn't in top shape, he could still socre. What will be interesting will be if he be if he can play better than average an defense and rebounding player. IMHO he started to play well late last season but struggled with the layoff bigs he met. He needs to dominate if he is going to earn his money.

There is no doubt Amare can score but his effectiveness in offense will decrease in NY

Everybody says it so it must be true. In fact, I've read/heard that same comment so often I'm almost ready to change my opinion. Almost, but not quite. I really think Felton is the perfect PG for Amare and Dantoni as long as he can continue to improve his shooting percentage. He'll never be Steve Nash but Amare was already becoming an offensive force before we signed Nash.

I wouldn't be shocked to see his percentage drop a little but I doubt that a few points is what everyone is talking about. Most seem to think he'll drop 5 to 10 percentage points and 4 or 5 points per game also.

As for how I feel about that picture. I like Amare but I'm glad he's getting overpaid by the Knicks and not Phoenix.

A little sad, just like it was with Q when I saw him in a Ravens jersey. Even though I know it didn't pan out here and it was probably time to move on, it's always a little weird seeing a guy that you cheered on for so long to wear another Jersey.

Good luck in NY Amare.

That is Amare, they photoshopped off his tattoos.

I have no idea but I would pose one question. Having viewed the other ESPN pictures of athletes (including Amare) I would wonder why they'd photoshop out his tattoos for that one shot? Everyone else in those photos is adorned with many, many tattoos.

It is Amare--and they didn't photoshop off his tattoos. I can understand why some of you gents don't want to be looking that close, but they're there. :)

edit: At least you can see them all down his left arm, and under his ribcage on his right.
