I do some traveling for work and when my boss is in the car I usually just turn the radio off cause I know we have differeing tastes. I actually do this a lot of times depending on who is in my car.

So, what do you do when someone is in your car as far as music goes? (BTW if someone touches my radio or temperature control, it's on, man!)

Instead of playing music, listen to Rush Limbaugh.

thanks i needed a good laugh :D

As for the radio, I normally tend to find a common ground (ie - i dont play Hanson ) and just choose a radio station or a mutual cd we both like

I have a 250 CD book in my car that's full of bands none of my coworkers have heard of. Usually I'll make them listen to what I have in at the moment but sometimes I let them put on a radio station with the main rule being no country.

Ok, first off, the majority of the time, I feel that the driver gets to make the decision. IF I know that my passengers have polar opposite music tastes than I do, then I just turn the radio to oldies. I've never met anyone that freaks out when they hear oldies. It's a nice common ground.

You troll like a pro...

Whoever's driving controls the radio in my car for normal day-to-day stuff. (Which is always ME). If I have someone in the car that I care to be courteous to, then I'll try to find middle ground, but rarely is anyone that daring...My car is scary. My driving's probably worse.

I might be drunk or something but are you inferring that Kate has been in your car and listened to your radio?

I take over after the passenger begins the 5 sec. channel surfing between stations for like the first five minutes of the drive.

My music, my car, my dial, my volume control, my cd player...unless my wife is in the car then its: her music, her car, her dial, her volume control, her cd player.

If the passenger is a woman, I allow her to select the music of her choice. But I am a gentleman.
