Illinois football had one player picked in the 2025 NFL Draft, the fifth consecutive season the Fighting Illini had at least one name called on draft weekend.
Pat Bryant was selected in the third round on Friday, while former receiving running mate Zakhari Franklin was not selected in the seven-round draft. He will look to sign an undrafted free agent contract for a chance to earn a roster spot with an NFL team.

Coleman agreed to a free agent deal with the Seahawks on Saturday. The 6-foot-2, 232-pound edge rusher was a team captain for the Illini with 53 tackles and three sacks as a senior and finished his six-year career with 183 tackles and 15.5 sacks in 56 games. "While his production won’t stand out, he uses active hands and long arms to make the most of his snaps," according to his NFL.com scouting report. "Coleman has a chance to become an NFL backup."

Edwards agreed to a free agent deal with the Chargers on Saturday. The 6-foot-2, 305-pound defensive lineman had a solid pro day after rolling up 38 tackles and 2.5 sacks in an honorable mention all-Big Ten season.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound senior had a breakout 2024 after three years at UTSA and a redshirt year at Ole Miss. He caught 55 balls for 652 yards and four TDs for the Illini. Before Ole Miss, he was a four-year starter at UTSA with 262 catches, 3,348 yards and 37 TDs.
The 6-foot-4, 275-pound defensive tackle transfer from Florida State started every game for the Illini and finished with 3.5 sacks and 4.5 tackles for loss.
The 6-foot-1, 230-pound linebacker played in all 13 games and finished with 50 tackles, pressed into more action after the injury to Dylan Rosiek. Meed had a solid pro day, with a 40-yard dash time (4.5) and vertical leap (37.5 inches) that was among the best for a linebacker.
