The Georgia Bulldogs enjoyed a strong season under third year head coach Mike White. White helped Georgia erase one of the longest NCAA Tournament droughts among Power Four teams. White and Georgia made March Madness in 2024-2025 for the first time since 2015.
Unfortunately, Gonzaga eliminated Georgia in the first round of March Madness. "We've just got a really special thing going with our culture, with our connectivity," said White after Georgia's loss to Gonzaga. "They've laid a foundation."
White is set to make $3.61 million during the 2025 year. He could earn up to $450,000 in bonuses and has a $7.625 million buyout. White coached for the Florida Gators for seven seasons (four NCAA Tournament appearances) before coming to Georgia, where he has helped turn around the Bulldogs.
"We came to Georgia to rebuild and get Georgia to a tournament," White said. "It's special."
White is the No. 33 highest paid coach in the country and the 11th highest paid coach in the SEC. White is 56-45 at Georgia entering the 2025 NCAA Tournament. He could be due an extension after helping UGA return to March Madness. Back in 2023, Georgia paid Florida a $1.3 million buyout to hire White.
