He'll be use in the underneath zones and seams of the defense. He will be the dumpoff guy if everbody is covered.

He should be used alot. We have Boldin, Fitz, Johnson and Jones and Shipp. Someone is going to have to be double covered right?

The Cards have major offensive potential in Boldin, Fitz, Shipp, Johnson and Jones--yardage through the air and the ground game.

I'll be disappointed if this team does not average 20-30 points a game this season.

Gooooooooooo Cards

I hope Shipp gets thrown the ball more too. He looked really good catching the ball the year before last.

That pretty much is the way Denny used his tight ends when he was the coach of the Vikings. However Freddie Jones is a better receiving tight end than the ones that DG had when he coached the Vikings.

He should be a Pro-Bowler next year. I see him getting it in the red zone a lot.

I'm not sure Jones has the elite speed he showed in San Diego to exploit the seems in a defense, but he still has the hands and the smarts. I think the role sitting in the soft spots of zones will fit his skills well.
