I thought that was really good as well

kinda explains how certain FAs sign deals within hours of FA opening

also FWIW: Bill Bidwill Sr was/is an old school NFL kinda guy. My sense ( no firsthand knowledge, but based on first hand knowledge stories) is if the NFL said "no tampering" -- he took that literally, even if 31 other teams were meeting with FA agents at the combine

To give a couple more kudos to Keim, with the way that he structures his "free agency board" it really allows him to take advantage of some of the ineffeciencies that Betcha outlines here.

If you're looking at second-tier "value" free agents at the onset of free agency (which we absolutely did), you can maybe get a better deal on these guys who may not hear their phones ring for another four or five days.
