Shaq is 35 years old..

Kareem won his last championship at age 41.. With the best PG of all time.. Nash the second best with Shaq..

Wilt won his last championship at age 37..

Thats some Lakers history for your ass..

If it cant be done, it wouldnt have already be done..

It can be done.. I dont see any wannbe Dirk imitators (Pao) doing this ever no matter the age.. In fact, Dirk hasnt even done it..

Oooopps.

Shaq/Amare vs Bynum/Pau is much much better than Amare/Marion vs Bynum/Pau.

First of all Kareem and Wilt much better than Shaq!!!! PLUS those two were not injury prone the way shaq is at this age in his life! Bad comparison. I still would rather have had Marion. Honestly, as a Lakers Fan I was more worried about the Suns until today. Shaq??? Cmon maybe 3 years ago!

I think the Suns have a better shot at winning a title now than I did 24 hours ago, but your reasoning is all wrong. First, Shaq is no Jabbar or Wilt. Those guys were notorious for their work ethic and it showed with their longevity which can't be said for Shaq. Secondly, Nash isn't near the 2nd best PG of all-time and it's not even close. Third, those teams that Wilt and Jabbar won titles with at those respective ages would run this current Suns team off the court with rather ease. The '72 and Showtime Lakers were all-time dynastic freakish squads, some of the best in all of modern sports history.

You missed the focus of my post.. They (lakers fans) call Shaq old and it cant be done.. They believe a 7 foot outside shooting Dirk clone is now gonna destroy us..

The only thing about your post I cant agree with is I truely believe Nash is the 2nd best PG of all time..

.

This was addressed in other threads, Gee. Kareem and Wilt weren't 500 pounds and injury prone. Wilt had the drive that Shaq does not...one year he led the league in assists because they said he couldn't. Kareem had a skyhook that was unstoppable and extended his career for a few years. Shaq does not have drive or moves...his power and strength is how he scores, and that is fading fast.

Completely irrelevant argument.

You don't know much about Pau, I guess.

And it isn't a 7 footer. It is a front line of two 7 footers and a 6'10 SF. That's gonna destroy you. Not Pau alone.

I think O'Neal has gained 150 pounds in the past 24 hours. What's the over/under on his weight once he finally takes the floor? 1200?

He's over-exaggerating to try to prove a point he knows he can't back up with real evidence. He is a Laker fan, after all. :)

The only things Gasol and Nowitzki have in common is their size and colour of skin.

I've seen many games between the national teams of Germany and Spain, and the contrast in their respective style couldn't be more obvious.

Gasol is NOT an outside shooter. As far as I can tell, he loves to attack the basket, has a good post-up game and scores the overwhelming majority of his points inside.

He probably won't play for a couple of weeks, so he could easily hit 1400.

That lineup WITHOUT Pau was killing you.

Perhaps you should keep your mind out of my boxers.

While I think Lakers have an amazing team, I am not sure they will "destroy" Shaq/Amare/Hill/Nash/Bell lineup.

Strictly speaking in the pre-shaq trade realm, since that is what Gee was referencing as nobody has said anything like that in regards to shaq..from a defensive standpoint you are no longer dominated as you were before.

One thing is for sure, the Lakers/Suns rivalry just went up about 10 notches in the last 24 hours. If they meet in the playoffs... Katie bar the door.

Hmm.. What's wrong with Laker fans anyway? They all act the same way, like a 10-year old.. Oh well..

Good job destroying the Hawks tonight with all those "monsters".
