Evan Turner's role and history with the Portland Trail Blazers is complicated. Brought in in 2016 to ease some of the tension off of Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum in the playoffs, that narrative and his purpose has shifted. In his first two years, Turner played the traditional 3 spot, dribbling the ball on the floor with Portland's stars.
