Kentucky women's basketball is in the NCAA Tournament in its first year under new coach Kenny Brooks; it's the 18th tournament appearance in school history.

The Wildcats are a 4-seed in the Spokane Region and are scheduled to play 13-seed Liberty in the first round in Lexington at Memorial Coliseum.

They will try to shake off an early exit at the SEC Tournament, where the Wildcats lost their first game against Oklahoma in the quarterfinal.
