LSU women's basketball is ready for another NCAA Tournament run. On Saturday night, the Tigers will host No. 14 seed San Diego State in Baton Rouge. Baton Rouge will also host No. 6 seed Florida State and No. 11 George Mason. The winner of LSU's game will face the winner of the No. 6 vs. No. 11 game on Monday.
LSU finished the regular season 28-5 but lost its last three of four games. Last time out, LSU lost to Texas in the SEC semifinals. The Tigers were without Flau'Jae Johnson for the entirety of the SEC Tournament and Aneesah Morrow dealt with a lingering injury. After two weeks off, Johnson and Morrow are healthy and ready to go.
If Johnson and Morrow are at their best, LSU is a national title contender. If the lingering injuries persist, LSU will find it hard to make a run.
The Tigers made it to the Elite Eight last year before falling to Iowa. LSU will look to surpass that and return to the Final Four this year.
