The Michigan State women's basketball team team will try to earn a spot in the Sweet 16 when it faces North Carolina State in a second round NCAA tournament game Monday in Raleigh, North Carolina.
The game is scheduled to start at noon.
MSU, the region's No. 7 seed, opened the NCAA tournament with a 64-50 victory over No. 10 seed Harvard on Saturday. That win was the first for the Spartans (22-9) in the NCAA tournament since 2019. No. 2 seed NC State (27-6) beat No. 15 seed Vermont, 75-55, in its tournament opener Saturday afternoon to improve to 17-0 on its home court this season.
Monday marks the fourth meeting between the Spartans and the Wolfpack. MSU owns a 2-1 edge in the series with NC State winning the last meeting between he programs by a 78-74 score at the Cancun Challenge during the 2018-19 season..
