As prognosticators stick their wet digits in the wind to gauge where the players may fall in the upcoming NFL draft slated for April 24-26 in Green Bay, the league’s collective gaze lands on Boulder, Colorado, Friday afternoon.
In the “Colorado Showcase,” as the university’s athletic department dubbed it, the school’s primetime players — quarterback Shedeur Sanders and wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter — will work out for all 32 teams, including the Browns.
The Browns contingent apparently wined and dined the duo last night. Owner Jimmy Haslam, general manager Andrew Berry and head coach Kevin Stefanski will be along with president and partner JW Johnson, according to a report from the Beacon Journal’s Chris Easterling, who also expects offensive coaches to be on hand.
That’s a question no one can really answer. Although the No. 2 quarterback in this year’s lottery, his stock could be volatile. While many think the Browns could draft him with the No. 2 overall pick, there a plenty who think Sanders could slip.
Travis Hunter’s future may be more certain than his teammate’s. The Heisman Trophy winner is a certain Top 10 pick, possibly landing in the top five due to his overall athleticism and the ability to play two high value positions.
The workout will air Friday on television and streaming.
