The Oklahoma Sooners make their first SEC road trip to Fayetteville, Ark. to take on the No. 15/12 Arkansas Razorbacks in a top 15 matchup. This comes after the Sooners swept the South Carolina Gamecocks last weekend in a top-10 game.
The Sooners are the last remaining undefeated team in the nation, but they've been tested on several occasions during their 23-0 start. This weekend, they'll take on an Arkansas squad, one of the best hitting teams in the SEC.
Though they're coming off a series loss to Ole Miss, the Razorbacks showed off their ability with the bats with a 20-run outburst in the series finale against the Rebels. Arkansas is third in the SEC in slugging percentage and fourth in batting average. The Sooners are No. 1 in the conference in slugging percentage but eighth in the SEC in batting average.
Though Oklahoma has a better team ERA than Arkansas, the Razorbacks have a better opponents' batting average allowed than the Sooners. Sam Landry returned Tuesday for the Sooners and threw 3.1 innings after missing the series against South Carolina.
On paper, this could be another great SEC battle on a weekend with seven conference series that feature both teams in the top 25.
Here's how to watch Oklahoma at Arkansas this weekend in Fayetteville.
One of the top storylines of the weekend will be the family reunion of Gassos as Patty and J.T. Gasso will face Arkansas assistant and Patty's son, D.J. Hear the Oklahoma head coach discuss what it means to her.
