1. Bridges stays at RT
2. Kolb realizes that he's not going to get immediate pressure from the right side and calms down in the pocket.
3. We continue to punish defenses with Chris Wells
4. Teams have to stop doubling Fitz because they have to bring a Safety up to stop Beanie.
5. Horton realizes that the midget 2-4-5 doesn't work and leaves one of the big guys in and goes to a 3-3-5 nickel package.
6. The 3-3-5 closes off the runs through the gaping hole in the middle of the field and brings pressure on the passer from the middle so opposing QBs can no longer just nonchalantly move up in the pocket to get away from our outside rush.

10-6. 3-3 next 6 games and then we run the table.

1-4 is enough.

5 should be firing Grimm.

6 is growing a prototypical 3-4 OLB in a lab.

Does anyone think Peterson/Jefferson is in a little over their heads? They play well at times, but also give up some very easy completions, and Jefferson seems to have a slight tackling problem.

hell ef yeah they are! One is a rookie (monster rookie, but rookie) and the other is a 2nd year UDFA.

In the real world, they aren't starting for an NFL club. Peterson would be a nickel and take 1CB spot in year two. AJ would be a Nickel and maybe crack 2CB.

This is a trial by fire for PP...

AJ is getting picked on right now though much more than Peterson...he's doing ok but you can only hold up at CB so many times.

For a dude who is a frigging walk on that gets shoved into the #1CB role on an NFL franchise, a role he has no gatdamn bizness even sniffing at, he's doing ok. That doesn't mean he's playing well, cheese. :mulli:

Frankly, I'm shocked that he isn't getting torched for TDs on the regular.

Bullshite cheese. He has several passes defensed, lots of breakups. He also is getting targeted a ton.

A UDFA doesn't MAKE a team in 99% of the cases, much less start...much less start as the NUMBER ONE FREAKING CORNER.

The fact that he isn't giving up 4 TDs a game proves your take wrong.

Again, we are arguing about the level of craptitude he's playing at. You're giving him much too little credit. I don't know what the hell you expected him to do. Most guys in his situation make a practice squad for a couple of years and then sell life insurance. AJ is playing ok. Not good. Not even damn decent. Just ok...for a UDFA starting at cornerback #1.

I don't think he's playing horrible, but I don't think he's quite starter quality yet.

The reason why I brought it up, is because the Colt's made a horrible move and just released their #1 CB Justin Tryon yesterday for no apparent reason. Colts fans were outraged, and he was clearly their best CB by far. He's a zone corner, and a great tackler.

Here are some of his stats: http://footballoutsiders.com/stat-analysis/2011/best-cornerback-charting-stats-2010

Targeted 42 times in 2010
Averaged 5 Yards per Catch, which was 3rd best in the league, ahead of Revis
Averaged 2.2 Yards after Catch, which was 6th best in the league, ahead of Revis

He also played at ASU, so he knows the valley very well, and lives here during the off-season. Could be a valuable pick-up.

i expected him to be awful and that's what he is.

but that's just it... he's not playing ok... he's playing ok for a guy who has no business on the field but as a starting CB, he atrocious. that's the only measure that matters. he's nowhere near the play and he can't even tackle worth ****.

but as crazy canuck... we got a real steal!

Jefferson sucks bad... gives too much cushion and poor tackler. Peterson is ok and has a lot of upside, not Jefferson. We desperately need another CB. But, if we have something even close to a pass rush, these corners would do ok.

Yeah once they bring a safety down to stop the run, Kolb will throw it to the side where the other safety is sitting. I feel like they don't give the other receivers a chance to make a play. Kolb needs to step up in the pocket to give him some time to make good reads instead of forcing the ball to Fitz all the time. Fitz is a blessing and curse.
