Pranell Mallaiah, William Arp, and Domenic Peters helped Abington Heights get off to a good start with a 5-0 win over Honesdale on opening day of the Lackawanna League boys tennis season.

Mallaiah, Arp, and Peters each won in straight sets.

Singles: Praneel Mallaiah (AH) over Lew Smith, 6-3, 6-0. William Arp (AH) over Matt Christiansen, 6-0, 6-0. Domenic Peters (AH) over Asher Eck, 6-0, 6-0; Doubles: Brady Comstock-Liam Farrell (AH) over Seth Lestrange-Luca Giadano, 6-0, 6-0. Brody Goldberg-Sebastian Meyer (AH) over Kadyn Kinney-Ryan Chesa, 6-2, 6-1; Records: AH 1-0, HON 0-1.

Scranton Prep 5, Dunmore 0: Matthew Cohen, Tony Nguyen and Jackson Keating led the Cavaliers with straight-sets wins in the singles matches.

Singles: Matthew Cohen (SP) over Nathan Aviles, 6-1, 6-3. Tony Nguyen (SP) over Oum Patel, 6-1, 6-2. Jackson Keating (SP) over Keegan Oprisco, 6-0, 6-1; Doubles: Kyle Costello-Kyle O’Malley (SP) over Felix Bautista-Aidan Kopacz, 6-2, 6-1. Nathan Woelkers-Anthony Delayo (SP) over Carter Grande-Zekhi Haynes, 6-1, 6-0; Records: SP 1-0, DUN 0-1.

Holy Cross: 4 North Pocono 1: Alex Harrison, Ray Zhang and Lucas Urban swept the singles matches in straight sets to lead the Crusaders.
