Standing Tall And Traded
With a preseason top 5 ranking, 21 of 22 players back, 4 losses in the last 4 years and talk of a national title possibility, it's crazy to think how far Boise State has come. They have only been playing "DIVISION 1 FOOTBALL" (Dan Hawkins) just since 1996.
it seems like the national perspective has changed a bit towards them as far as respect. They need to answer the bell and prove they belong by keeping the winning tradition.
Opening the season at Redskins Stadium against VA Tech won't be easy, and Oregon State comes to the blue. The rest of the schedule should be manageable though.
If the dominoes fall somehow and they can get in the championship game (Huge if) the BCS would be all over it, claiming their system does in fact work. If they start out #2 and then get jumped by some teams, it will cause some commotion. Either way, Boise has yet another chance to make a huge impact on the college football landscape....if they keep on winning.
