The Diamondbacks started the 9-game homestand with a win tonight over the Rockies. I think it's very important they win every series(Rockies, Giants & Cubs). I'm hoping they win at least six games before they embark on their next road trip. Nine wins would be better.:)

Diamondbacks beat Colorado 2-0 and take the series 2-1. Next up, the Giants.

The irony between the D-backs and the Cards is really funny...

They both play in extremely weak divisions! By all rights, the D-backs shouldn't be in last place with their pathetic offense. Yet, their pitching and the inadequacy of the West keeps them in contention...
The Cards also play in the weakest division in the NFL. Their putrid defense and nonexistent run game should keep them fighting for a wild card spot at best...

Too funny...

On the surface that may seem to be the case, but the Dodgers have the 3rd best record in baseball right now with San Diego only a few places behind. Over the course of the season it may turn out that the NL West is a weak division, but it's certainly not why the D-Backs aren't 8 or 9 games out right now.
