Okay, I loved this movie. Reviews I read before I saw it said the first 45 minutes without any sign of the Hulk were slow...I didn't think so.

I felt that time was used wisely to set things up. And when it finally happened...WOW.

I have to say, the CGI for the Hulk was simply amazing...sure he was fake, but in the scenes when he was docile, and face to face with either his father or Jennifer Connelly...wow, it just looked soooo good. I didn't think it brought the movie down at all...they made him as realistic as I've seen a CGI character.

The action was awesome, I liked the story, the repressed memories...thought Connelly was great, Nolte was great, Sam Elliot awesome as usual.

The only bad thing I can think of right now was that in one action scene with helicopters and this canyon-like bowl in which the Hulk was running, the choppers were moving way too fast...very unreallistic.

But that was about the only downside I saw in the action.

Anyways, anxious to see what others thought of this flick. I have to say, I think I liked it better than Spiderman...and I liked that one a lot.

I loved it as well. I was getting a bit impatient waiting for the action to start, but like Spider-Man, this being the first installment, they had to give you the background as to why he was what he was.

I really liked the splitting of the screen at various points throughout the movie. It reminded you that this was a comic book you were watching.

The sequence in the "bowl", I agree Mike, probably the only part where I was rolling my eyes a bit.

Still, Hulk was awesome, and even though I had seen the part where he bursts from the water tank several times, it was still the coolest part of the film.

The acting was top notch by everyone. Jennifer Connelly was  as always.

I'll gladly add this to my collection when it comes out.

Jennifer Connley is one of the most underrated Hollywood beauties out there.

I love that classic pin up brunette look.

Absolutely hated this movie

*1/2 out of *****

Went and saw this on Friday, then afterwards I went and rented Shark Attack III: Megaladon. So when I went to bed that night, I had seen two movies with cheesy CGI, lame performances, laugh out loud dialogue, and an ending that was completely unnecessary.

At least Shark Attack III meant to be cheesy, though. I'm a fan of Ang Lee's previous work so I knew going into this that he would want to concentrate on character but c'mon, this is a friggin' superhero movie! The audience wants to see the Hulk smash, not brood and take an hour to appear on screen. The dialogue was just awful at times, and Eric Bana looked like he went to the Nicolas Cage School of Acting Angry before this movie. Jennifer Connely, as much as I love her, was completely unspectacular (although she wasn't exactly given much to work with). Whoever edited that movie needs to be sent back to editing basics 101 (i.e. - if a helicopter is moving left to right in the previous shot, don't show the passengers going right to left in the next). Although you will be treated to five screens at once! I kept expecting Jack Bauer to pop in to save the day.

There were some moments that stood out, hence the reason I gave it *1/2 instead of 1/2. The entire battle with the tanks and with the helicopters was great. That alone kept me awake (partially). Every time Sam Elliot was on screen it was worth watching. However, the action scenes and Sam Elliot constitute about five percent of the movie so it's hardly worth the price of admission. You want good superhero action? Go see X-2 again and wait for the video of this stinker.

There was no way the CGI was cheesy...just downright, untrue.

Okay, maybe I should amend that statement a bit.

While the CGI was put together very well (honestly, I thought that the CGI in Spiderman was distracting at times but it was unnoticed here), I couldn't get past the fact that there was this 30 foot tall behemoth with pants that don't break unless a mutant french poodle rips them off. Call me crazy, but I miss the Lou Ferrigno days.

I often wonder what people are expecting to see when they walk into a film like Hulk.

This is a comic, nothing more, nothing less.

If you are expecting realism, may I suggest Saving Private Ryan or The Pianist.

It cracks me up when I see people ripping on details like pants that don't come off. Come on, surely you can find something better to aggravate you than that.

This is what I thought was one of the cooler things about the movie as well. I hope future comic movies take note.

I love The Hulk. I think the main reason many people didn't care for it too much, is because they never read Hulk comics when they were a kid. If the only reference to the Hulk is the Lou Ferrigno days (which I also loved), than I can understand your disappointment. I, for one, am very happy that they stayed true to the comic book, for the most part.

The problem with that statment, is that the Lou Ferrigno days didn't do the Hulk justice...the Hulk in the comics is huge, waaaay bigger than Ferrigno.

THIS movie finally did the Hulk justice...showed him like he should be...huge, strong and HUGE, lol.

The pants not falling off is kind of funny, but that's the way the comics were, so roll with it, lol.

That movie was exactly what I thought it would be - mediocre to the bone.

I thought this movie sucked BIG TIME!!!!

I thought I was watching a hollywood version of the A-Team. I mean come on now the Hulk throws a tank about a mile in the air after whipping it around and the guys in the tank come out unscathed. Then he demolishes two helicopters and the crew comes out saying they are only shaken up???? PUULLLEASE!

That was downright pathetic. I agree that if you are looking for realism as far as the characters are concerned thats one thing but they could have made it more realistic in that sense! I know its a comic book but come on people die in comics!

The cahracter development was way to much IMO. It made this movie longer than it needed to be.

I was highly dissapointed!

Went to see the movie last night I liked it. Not on my top ten but it was a good entertaining movie. The CG was done very well. It was a little hard to see the night seens with the dogs figthing could have been the video settings??? I loved the comic book slides that was good. You just can't go wrong when you give props to Lou Ferrigno and Stan Lee with their Camios. Alll in all I give the movie a

This movie was too long and dragged in places. It didn't help that at a 9:25pm showing there were about 10 kids in there under 5 making noise, talking and running around the theatre the whole movie.

I'm not. I am going the Thing. It was a classic horror movie. Although Connelly's brows are scary.
