Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Petr Mrazek left the game against the Toronto Maple Leafs after a thunderous collision with forward Kyle Clifford in the second period. As both raced towards a loose puck in the Hurricanes' end, Clifford reached in for it and struck Mrazek, sending him hard to the ice. Clifford received a five-minute major initially, but was then reversed to a two-minute minor for charging.
