Nebraska football general manager Pat Stewart's salary was released earlier this week. Stewart has a three-year, $2.55 million deal, which matches the salary of Oklahoma Sooners GM Jim Nagy. University of North Carolina Tar Heels general manager Mike Lombardi has the highest front office salary in college football, at $1.55 million per season.
Stewart was officially announced as the general manager of the program on February 26. He had previously spent several seasons with the New England Patriots. He worked in the scouting department for the Carolina Panthers and the Philadelphia Eagles. He also worked with Matt Rhule at Western Carolina and Temple.
Stewart will lead the Huskers' roster management and player acquisition, including high school and transfer portal recruiting, evaluation, and retention. Per his contract, he will make $800,00 in 2025, $850,000 in 2026, and $900,000 in 2027.
Former Nebraska general manager Sean Padden moved to a new role within the program. Padden will now hold the title of assistant AD for Strategic Initiatives and will be involved in the salary cap, contract negotiations, and analytics.
