The town landing a minor league, A or AA ball team?

Even though the Diamondbacks would be in close proximity, I think the possibilities here are live and well. We wouldn't have to go far to see some of the stars of the future, and could continue to grow the regional theme.

I don't believe that Big League Dreams is suited for that sort of thing. Its a cluster of smaller facilities and the company that's done this specializes in building these things for youth tournaments and local leagues.

There are no close leagues to join. Closest options are the California League (hi-A), the Texas League (AA) and the Pioneer League (R). All those leagues are still way too far away.

If you really want to go to a minor league game you could go to an Arizona League game.

i don't see it happening - the independent leagues out here didn't draw to well - the AFL doesn't draw to well despite high quality players and prospects

then you have the fact that most minor league teams play at night and that can be brutal - the sidewinders, even though it is tucson, are probably going to end up in Reno

i just don't see it working out here - any of the ST facilities could work as a minor league park and it hasn't happened yet
