a college football game that had a total of three rushing yards until the game between Miami and Florida State. Was it great defense or lousy offense? I have no clue.

It was great defense, but neither teams have passing games to scare the other so... TBD.

Two sorry ass O lines in the rebuilding stage. Looked like Freshman orientation day.

I vote for horrible offenses, combined with good defence.

This reminds me of a couple years ago, when FSU and Miami had a similiar game - everyone else kept raving about the Defense - all I could see was too inept offenses, led by QBs that couldn't hit an open reciever.

Miami/FSU, as usual, are vastly over-rated.

Yep, the offenses aren't that good. Just becuase you are the quarterback at Miami or Florida State, doesn't automatically make you a great player.

The announcers would just keep going on and on about Wetherford. He just seems average to me.

Oh man i went to this game and what a joke. Not only was it boring to watch on TV but i lost interest sitting in the stands. I had a much better time tailgating and the game was an after thought with how poorly it was played.

These teams lack offensive fireworks. For the amount of guys in Florida that is an absolute joke. Everyone wants to talk about how great of defenses these teams have but i feel this is just magnified by the ineptitude on defense.

i miss my Pac-10 football......seriously:sad:

FSU had another pathetic day rushing against their week 2 creampuff (miami did a bit better, but after very slow start)

the canes never used to have this problem lacking explosivenes, but they are devoid of playmakers on offense anymore - both defenses are good, but not that good

i'm sick of these two teams playing week 1 as well - too big of a game combined with new systems, players, etc has led to 3 straight years of garbage

FSU and Miami still have pathetic offenses. Both teams are barely top 25 caliber.

hopefully james can develop into a playmaker to re-establish some of the RB mojo they had going there for a while - OL is still a concern and was a force back when miami had some great RBs under butch davis

also it seems WR gets a little weaker each year - i like olsen, but even he seems to be at the lower end of talent for recent miami TEs - it seems like across the board the talent for miami on offense has dropped with QB remaining kind of consistent

james is probably only going to stay 3 years - granted he's a freshman, but the guy is seemingly talented - need to find a way to get him more involved

I do like the D though

Next week. That is the defining game for Miami.

:)

Just tired of the FSU/Miami HYPE. Two inept offenses make for horrible college football.

The announcers and sports radio go crazy about the team. FSU barley holds off TROY. They need to drop in the rankings. But like last year they can lose 4 games and still be ranked high becuase they are a "Power Conference"
