it seems like the suns watched the cards v bears game and said 'you know, it would totally rule if we could do that, except again and again and again...'
that right now looks like the fatal flaw. where it stems from i don't know, and until we figure it out beating the bobcats will prove challenging.
however
i saw a team out there today. raja seemed to find his shot as the game went along. hope he'll be alright.
barbosa is now playing absolutely fearless. far cry from mr. timid of the past. just needs to get his feet under him for the shot, and his % will continue to rise.
nash and marion played as expected (can't fault marion vs. bowen, he NEVER plays well there).
to be honest, this is the amare i expected to see when the season started. 95% of the athlete of the past, pretty much unstoppable in the post due to GREAT touch around the hoop, but can't stay on the floor because of horrible timing.
now for the stuff that needs settling before we can 'crown our ass'...
banks showed me something here, both good and bad. he's great on the ball, takes risks going for steals, would rather shoot than pass, mercurial with his shot, and pounds the ball alot. don't know what that adds up to yet, but i'm guessing it's a seat on the bench once jalen gets in the fold.
where is diaw? it is unbelievable to me that this is the same guy that was dropping 20/10/10 in the conf. finals. he's not secretly injured is he? i don't know what's wrong but i'm giving it another 10-14 days before getting REAL pissed off. it's like he's regressed even compared to preseason!
fitting rose in. i have no idea if his defense will allow him to stay on the court, or if d'antoni will sacrifice for more offense (probably) and just take the hit on the other side of the court.
from what i saw tonight, i have to say our crunch time lineup needs to be the following:
nash
bell
marion
amare
thomas
those guys are getting it done. funny how that was last years projected starters. barbosa, diaw, rose, maybe banks elsewhere in the game, but those are your closers.
