Besides insinuating that the Cards are only this good because they are playing in a weak division pretty much the gist is if the Cards don't do it this year they will never do it. Oh this was a nice touch too "Look, we all know there's plenty of time for the Cardinals to screw this thing up."
For the icing on the cake I like how now the Cardinals fanbase is going to be a bunch of bandwagon fans despite the fact of sellouts the last couple of years.

How about acknowledging that this team is one of the youngest in the NFL has been growing and just may have turned the corner, and things are looking good for a promising future. I never really minded Bickley before but this article just rubbed me the wrong way.

To those who don't believe, do me a favor: Stay away from the punch bowl. Save the history lessons for later. Leave me alone.

For the first time in 17 years, the Cardinals are 2-0. And those of us who have accompanied this team through the depths of NFL hell deserve a little room to dream.

I don't know. Sounds like he is on board also?

You're picking phrases and twisting their meaning. His article was one daring for hope that this team is really going to be a special team.

I hope I am wrong, but I am just going on past articles where he seems to slam the team. That whole comment about plenty of time to still screw it up seemed a little effed to me. I think there is plenty of time to show that this team is for real and finally may have arrived. I am not drinking Koolaid based on two wins against teams with a combined record of 5-32 though, but I think the next four or five weeks is going to give a good indication of where this team is headed. Who knows I am probably wrong but as I said the line was messed up.

Yeah he was pretty complimentary on radio today so I think you might be missing his point. I usually don't listen, but they (Him and Jureki) see what this team has to offer.

Bickley is a douche. Has been will continue to be...

Whether the bandwagon is riding to the playoffs or slamming into the Cardinals for failure, you can be certain Bickley will be in the front seat.

I think he was just tempering the optimism with our well known history. I think most of the local media are starting to buy into this team, yet are anticipating the proverbial meltdown. How much of these first two games were we the fans waiting for it? Even after watching how well they played, how many fans are waiting for the true gauge to measure where this team is? How many of us are expecting them to play that way on the road against the Redskins and Jets? Are we past expecting to be embarassed on national TV? This team looks like it could be very special, yet that is something that as of yet has to be proven. We are a good 2-0 team, but we haven't done anything yet.

That's the word.

It was a positive article, but perhaps we feel as critical of him as he is of the Cardinals.

Bickley is usually pretty irritating and likes to hear himself speak, but I feel this article was pretty on. He seems to really believe in this team right now.

Of course he will be the first to jump off once we lose a few as well. :)

Ahh. Little Bickles is harmless. Remember the Pedro Gomez days? I remember when the entire North endzone chased him away at SDS.

After decades of failure it is not easy to be overly optimistic with only two games under our belt. I am a Cubs fan and we have a 7.5 lead in our division with only 15 games to go. I still wait for the proverbial brick to fall on our heads and blow it. A Steve Bartman, a black cat or some goat could appear at any moment. I believe we win it when we win it.

There are ONLY (2) time-frames in my mind....

concerning Cardinals' history. The "Coryell" years and now, "Whiz". Remember this is year #2. NOT year #5. We've gotten a taste of winning. We're EXCITED!! We look forward to each week's new challenge. BUT to say we've arrived?? I'm not hearing that from Whiz or the players. BUT we are definitely moving in the right direction. It'll come. NO DOUBTS in my mind! GO CARDS!!
