Yep. This team has made us all want to jump off the proverbial bridge at some point. Anyone remember Rugby Muffin's complete meltdown not long ago? that was classic.

Let's all have a beer...

If you're buyin, I'm stylin.

I'll take a Stella Artois.

I can’t take this underperforming team much longer. And although its preseason I do not see things changing this season. This team and ownership has taken all the joy I had for the NFL as a kid and turned it into apathy. I have come to the realization that I don’t really care and actually look forward to the ribbing and smack that comes after another demoralizing loss. This team has some offensive weapons and I will stay a huge Anquan fan however the O-line and the Defense looks porous at best. The defense has 1 decent lineman (Dockett) 1 decent LB (Dansby) and one elite DB (Wilson). If this team is not at least 3-2 after 5 games I will fully change my allegiances back to the Chargers as it was prior to 1988 when I actually loved the NFL and watching games on Sunday. I am thankful that I spent my money on ASU season tickets this season.

Of course you feel this way. It's your turn to.

We will see you at the last game and talk about how next year will be better.
 Cardinals fans are not made, we're born. You cannot fight fate or destiny. We are what we are. Cardinals Fans!

A guy at work asked me one time why I wasnt a fan of the Colts, Rams or Titans since I live in Western Kentucky. At the time they all had winning records. I looked him straight in the eye and said CUZ IT WONT BE AS MUCH FUN AS SEEING MY CARDINALS. I will be watching drunk as a skunk with a tear in my eye when I see Mr. Bidwill holding up the NFC championship trophy in one hand and an ice cream cone in the other

A tear? Personally, I'll be bawling like a 2-year-old...and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

Maybe.

I'm of the opinion that a real fan can't just turn of being a fan of their team. It becomes engrained in your DNA.

This is what I think, also. Rooting for another team would be like deciding to breathe carbon dioxide or methane; can't be done.

Keep in mind, that there is a right way and wrong way to criticize the team. The culture of this board is averse to the pat arguments you hear from the average "fan." Complain that the Cards will always suck as long as the "Bidwells" own the team, and you'll get flamed. Complain about the D not being able to keep outside contain and you'll get kudos.

I actually see some signs of improvement over the last few years, even though the record doesn't show it.

After all, management is re-signing some of the better players, see Anquan Boldin, Darnell Dockett, and Adrian Wilson. The team did refurbish the weight room. They are working harder, losing weight, participating fully in the off-season program, buying into the Whiz program.

But until the Cardinals start drafting better, stop commiting stupid penalties in the red zone, stop beating themselves, yadda, yadda, yadda, I reserve the right to lambast them.

The more I see and hear about the Whiz, the better I feel. But if this team isn't at least a 500 team in 2008, I'll be very disappointed.

Yep.

I tried like heck to quit this team after Buddy's last season. Tore up my season ticket invoice and avoided reading anything about the team. Then, I watch an interview with Vince Tobin (of all people!) right before training camp. The next day, I go in and pay full price for season tickets which I could've had for 20% off.

That's when I realized I was hopelessly mentally ill about this team.

Makes ya kinda wonder how truthful he is about being a fan for 19 years if he can't even spell the owners' name correctly.

Then I will just refer to them as "Fat Ass Money Grubbers" living fat off of the NFL welfare system. Is that better? The so-called hardcore fans that keep defending this team is completely unreal. This is not some Ivy League school where academics is the priority. Its professional sports which are geared towards balance. You would think if they were truley trying the could squeeze out more than 1 winning season in 20 years let alone be able to have a double digit win season at least once? Facts don't lie.

Why don't you go moan to people who give a crap? It's not like it'd be hard for you to find company.

Thanks for the kind words, however it seems like no one has read my original post. All I am asking is for them to have a winning record after 5 games. Not be 5-0. But as I suspected all I get is the Rah, Rah… I’m a big Cards fan and I support this team through thick, thin, thinner and thinnest so that makes me better than you. Besides it’s not like San Diego is a bad thing and I plan on living my summers there in the near future when I am in the position to do so. Besides I have always had a spot in my heart for the Chargers because when I was young and influential it was the Chargers on NBC or the Cowboys on CBS in these parts and I chose the Bolts. However I would like nothing more than to see the local team win cuz I believe this is a football town and would be nice to have some excitement cuz the new stadium buzz has already worn off. I just needed to vent my frustration after another pathetic performance on Sat afternoon and although its 110 degrees outside it seemed like there was better things to do. Even though it was a preseason game the 1st units on both sides looked like crap and now our 1st rd pick of a couple of years ago and the 8th overall is going to be a special teamer.

Sorry dude, you had me until you said your support makes you a better fan than me.
Uh, I don't think so. I am 54 and ever since I was 6 years old I've been a Cardinal fan living in Chicago.
Never, I'll repeat NEVER have I ever whined like a little be-otch about abandoning my beloved Cardinals.
You should go now.

Sounds more like that bag of air Bob Kemp.

Nah, Bruce Jacobs is FAR more venomous about the Bidwills. I seriously thought Mike should've sued him for slander for some of the things he said in the leadup to the stadium vote.

Look, it's obvious you are a Chargers fan. Is it possible that you've just decided to come over here and troll? How you can say what you've said and not expect people to call you on it is beyond me.

If you truly feel this way, slink off into the night. Don't expect understanding from a group of fans who are willing to walk through Hell for this team.

I didn't read his Bidwill post...the other stuff sounded more like Kemp.

Maybe this is their love child? Bruce Kemp, Jr.?

THIS ONE IS FOR YOU KOC. TIM WE DID IT.
Hey, he's backing off. Was probably just venting.

Denny Green Fan is right, this is a gang. Nobody gets out. Give the guy some slack.

I would cut the guy some slack if he would have clearly stated he was frustrated and wanted to vent, thats fine, We all do it. But when you say that you are going to "pledge your allegence" to another team that he really is a fan of because its easier to watch their games ...then he gets ZERO slack and respect from me.

Your a loser in my book. Wasting money on Rudy Carpenter and the Scum Devils when Sam Keller should be starting and when they will finish below .500, and then on top of that you claim to be some SD fan. Sweet. Maybe I should become a Yankees fan because I want to live in NYC when i graduate or New England fan because its close enough. NO! Suns, Cards, Dbacks... any order you like.

by the way... I am earning a degree in Economics with a minor in Business and English if anyone here wants to hook up some great job. haha, Id be a great investment banker.
