Fitz is worth a hell of a lot more than Shepard who had been injured and a second rounder but...Boldin has often been injured and since the Eagles seem desperate for a #1 WR it would make sense from a football point of view. From my point of view, it would be a horrible day for me as a Cardinal fan because Q is by far my favorite player on the team. Putting that aside, just looking at the big picture. Would not want it, but it makes sense.

English please? Are you suggesting trading our other #1 WR who has a manageable cap hit, is the heart and soul of the team, is under contract for 3 more years, and is the overwhelming fan favorite?

All to keep a guy who we dont even know is willing to do whats best for HIM and the TEAM by accepting a mountain of an offer thats on the table?

Yeah, trading Boldin doesn't help the cap situation. Only reason there is trade Fitz threads is cause he has 16.5 mil cap hit.

Trust me, I would not want Boldin to leave and we still would have to deal with the Fitz situation but this would be an innovative way of ripping the Eagles of some talent and picks. I put this out there for all those who side with Fitz as being of more value than Q. As I said, Boldin is my favorite player on the Cards and the NFL combined.

no

1) I said I can't believe I'm saying this as the title of the post

2) I put this out there for all those who side with Fitz being the better player in the long run due to Q's physical play

3) I own four autographed Q items which where not cheap to come by

4) I put this out there to see how much the Fitz backers who side with Larry over Q really back that position

the eagles seem desperate for a #1 WR, and if the Cardinals are the team that will rip them in their desperation...I see it happening around draft day for Fitz and being then very glad Boldin is out stud WR and a Cardinal. I personally would love to see Q and Fitz Cardinals.

BTW, I voted for Q over Fitz in the poll and still stand by that vote. This again was directed to pro Fitz backers to gauge their belief providing a restructure of Fitz was worked out eventually.

OK, let me rephrase this

for all those out there who feel we cannot keep both Boldin and Fitz in the long run with huge contracts in the future, would you be willing to trade Boldin for a Shepard type player who according to your logic both suffer from being often injured provided we restructure Fitz's contract which will still be a significant cap hit when looking at what is to come. How much do you support that belief?

I was only presenting the question in a format that would repect their postion though I certainly do not believe in it so I could get more of a feeling on how deeply they support that belief.

I guess I should be banned for not saying I think the Fitz backers who take him over Boldin are complete idiots, LOL

I would trade Boldin over Fitzgerald if the compensation was the same for a couple reasons.

1-Fitzgerald is 3 years younger than Boldin.

2-Fitzgerald has never had knee surgery to Boldin's 2.

3-Fitzgerald's game is more condusive to a long career. Boldin takes too many hits.

4-As much as you may hate Fitzgerald's contract issues right now, Boldin will be asking for a raise real soon and it won't be any easier.

5-Boldin's role of a natural slot receiver across the middle is easier to fill than Fitzgerald's deep zones outside the hashmarks.

Now, I have to point out that I want to keep both of these players and am only addressing this in a hypothetical sense, however the smart move would be to keep Fitz.

The knee concerns are a stretch. he hasent had any knee issues for 4 years. His knees are strong and his problems arent chronic.

Any player can blow a knee at anytime. including Fitz.

I would agree with that Shane. The only reason that I bring it up is because of Boldin's style of play and since he mainly works the middle of the field. Because of this, his injury history is a bit more relavent in my opinion.

See the above Jetstream and don't worry about these guys. As soon as negotiations start with Boldin they'll all be talking about what a heartless, egotistical bum Q is. :D

Say no to any trade that involves Lito Shepard. Unless we're resigning, then trading, Scott Player. Or Tito Paul.

Some Eagles expert was on TV here on Sunday night. He said he wouldn't give up a #1 for Fitz.

I'm still laughing.

ya' know

I want Boldin on this team forever, I want him on this team for the next 500 years because we all know the dude is immortal. I want Larry Fitzgerald on this team for the next 50 years, because with his talent and still having Q playing he will still be able to do damage into his sixities. I want all of them on this team forever and ever and ever and ever.

Now I feel so much better and the Eagles can eat Shepards often injured jock strap too!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anquan Boldin is worth more to the Arizona Cardinals than he is to any other team in the NFL. You can't trade your team captain (as voted by the players in the lockerroom) for (essentially) money. Anquan Boldin's value far exceeds his already prodigious production on the field.

Personally, I don't think there's any chance that Anquan Boldin leaves this franchise. It would be a disasterous decision on almost every level. The bright side is that he won't leave, because there's no way that the Cards could get equal value for Anquan Boldin. I think if GMs around the league looked at Anquan, they'd be hard pressed to give up more than a high second-round pick for him. His value is probably between the 25th and 40th picks in the NFL draft.

He's worth way more than that to this team, which is why he'd never get traded.
