That press conference was surreal!!

If Kobe testifies for himself, he will get off! Kobe needs to get a job in politics!


What would have been really cool, would have been Mitch K. making the point of Kobe signing his contract. Shaking Kobe's hand and doing the photo op thing. Then announcing to the crowd, "Now that we signed Kobe, I have a trade to announce. We are sending Kobe to Miami for....."

Before you guys get too over anal on this post, I KNOW Kobe can't be traded to Miami. It's a JOKE!

I don't pretend to understand guys like Kobe at any level.

Everything is communicated through their "People". They never speak directly to anyone. Kobe was vacationing in Italy while all this was going on but you know his "People" were talking to everybody pulling all the strings, giving ultimatums etc...

The coolest thing would be the Lakers floundering for the next 5 years and dealing Kobe to rebuild. If the Lakers struggle Kobe will become a pariah.
