Calvin Johnson posted a 4.35! At 6-5, 239 no less. Good GOD.
Not that I thought he wouldn't but this assures he will be off the board before we pick.
We wouldnt draft him anyways.
Yes, we wouldn't draft him. But, a 4.7 might've pushed him down past #5 making it harder to get the player we want.

A very distinct possibility, but if someone want a QB and Quinn is their answer maybe they will trade down with Cleveland or Tampa. Just a maybe. Both could also consider a QB and Johnson would be there. However as good as Johnson is, I don't think that is a top need.
With Randy Moss, Joey Porter, AND Calvin Johnson lining up. I'll be darned if you can't get Andrew Walter to just throw it up and tell them to make a play.Wow, the Raiders have a hard choice at #1.
Johnson was considered the best player, and this comfirms it. Best player or most important position (QB)
What this means is that IF the Cards want to trade down, they have an excellent prospect for doing it--
Oak, Det, Cle and TB all will not trade down as there will be a highly attractive player at a position of need at their spot -- at #5 -- Minnesota at #7 or Miami at #9 might want to jump up and get Brady Quinn.
If Minnesota, the CArds could trade down, and still get either Branch or Anderson -- the likely pick at #5.
If I am Detroit, Oakland and Cleveland I find it very difficult to not take this guy, especially Detroit. I know the history of them taking receivers in the first round but lets be honest, this guy is an immediate impact player. Pair him with Roy Williams and you have a very imposing passing attack with great speed.
Any team would be better by having this guy on their team hands down.
Yamon Figurs (my favorite return man in the draft) got a 4.30. Wow.
Bach-I am not sure if you are saying that Tampa will take him or if you are calling out what you feel is an ommision on my part.
What I mean is that I believe that Calvin Johnson is a lock for Tampa barring a trade to move up by another team. The problem is that now, if you are one of these other 3 teams, it is becoming increasingly difficult to pass on a player who is putting up these numbers. He is really the only player in the top 5 that doesn't have question marks. You don't know of Thomas is mean enough. You don't know if Russell has the dedication and work ethic toexcell at the next level. Can Adrian Peterson last a whole NFL season without getting hurt? Is Brady Quinn a franchise QB or a product of Charlie Weiss? The question about Calvin Johnson is can he be what Randy Moss was supposed to be because he has the physical talent.
I don't want him for us. I just want the top 4 picture made clearer and I believe Johnson has solidified his spot in the top 4.
