I hate to say it but at this point Kyler just isn’t that good...

He was a bit off last night. But he also made many key plays to win the game. He has proven to be more accurate that what he was last night.

That's my thing if he is even as accurate as he was last year, with the improved running look out.

The fumbles obviously flipped the game but his big run for a first down when nobody open that really started things off for us. That's such a huge weapon Dallas simply could not deal with his running.

Remember our games with the 49ers last year where we were so concerned with their run game that Jimmy G had guys open all day and racked up TD passes? Last night was like that for big plays and the run game. The big completion to Hopkins, that was Murray's first completion of the half, that's how complete our run game was. If he'd been more accurate we could have scored 50 , hopefully he's better against Seattle we will need it with Russell Wilson

Google Russell Wilson’s 10 worse games. Some of the Games the Seahawks Still won. I’m talking god awful games. How?
Well Lynch ran wild and scored 4 td’s. Or their defense nearly pitched a shut out.
He’s had games where he was 9 of 23 and a pick with a 37 qb rating.
Kyler inaccuracy can be directly related to mechanics. Since he hasn’t had a problem with accuracy in the past it is correctable.

Both of these can be true because he is the second youngest QB in the NFL:

Kyler will be great
Kyler is currently average
Agree with this. I am seeing inconsistent or streaky play.

The thing with Kyler is that he is inconsistent as a passer. He misses easy throws but also makes some wow throws.

But add in his running ability and he is special at times.

Name 10 QBs you would take over Kyler right now. I think he's a top five QB right now, but not a top five passer.

Who do you consider average? I think of like a Kirk Cousins. I mean what are you saying here? I definitely think Kyler is better than 90% of the QBs currently playing football.

I mean I put him in the 11-15 range right now. Kirk Cousins I don't have in the that range.

That'd make him top 3-4 in the NFL, he isn't there yet. He can be but he is probably in the 15-20 range as a passer, his running bumps him up to top 10-12 IMO.

Just by this year so far and not total potential:

Wilson, Mahomes, Rodgers, Prescott, Jackson, Allen, Watson, Brady, Rapist, Carr

Then Murray comes in at the Tannehill, Goff, Ryan, Brees, Cam territory

That isn't an insult by any stretch

Kyler is currently a below-average passer. Currently 21st in DVOA.
Tua and Justin Herbert are both younger than Kyler.

Patrick Mahomes
Josh Allen
Ryan Tannehill
Deshaun Watson
Russell Wilson
Aaron Rodgers
Dak Prescott With Two Knees
Lamar Jackson
Matt Stafford
Ben Roethlisberger

Not all of those guys would be able to do what Kyler can with his legs (no one but Allen and Lamar), but they're all passing the ball better than Murray RIGHT NOW.

And I didn't even put Drew Brees on here. Will your fingers really let you type that you'd rather have Kyler Murray for 2020 than Drew Brees?

Y'all poppin off at the jump and completely wrong. There's no way I take any QB over 30 over Kyler. And I mean right now, not potential, but now. These guys get hit, like Rodgers, and they just quit, they're too old. They struggle throwing the out routes because they don't have the arm strength and quick hip rotation anymore. They're slower coming out of their breaks under center and are statues in the pocket. That's a plethora of issues, Kyler only needs to improve a couple things. I worry more about his demeanor and frankly unprofessionalism, for a leader, than the stuff you guys talk about. When things get super super tough, in a huge playoff game, that stuff matters.

Yes, I'd rather have Murray. Brees is like 65 years old or something.

I don't know if you've watched any Saints games this year, but Drew Brees hasn't been great. His decline is obvious. All their fans want him gone.

He's currently 10th in Total QBR. He's doing very well overall as a 2nd year player.

Remove the Lions game and he's top 6.

We'll live.

I think he's an average to above average passer.

A really good QB overall when you factor in his running ability. On pace for 16 tds rushing and a little under 1000 yards.

He has the potential to be elite....whether he reaches that is up to him and the coaches.
