I have had a 42' LG LCD for over a year and just recently when I turn it on I get a bunch of green lines in the background for the first few minutes, then it goes away and everything is okay. Is this normal or is there something wrong?

Any speakers near it? It could be the magnets in the speakers.

Magnets don't have any effect on LCD, only CRTs.

Is there any way you could post a pic of the green lines?

Is it running hot?

If you post the model number I could check for common issues with this set.

I had a similar problem but mine were white horizontal lines... No clue why, it went on for about a month, was just getting ready to go get another monitor and *poof*, they went away. It has been two months now, and having made no changes they still have not come back... Who knows...
