I have a question.

I've been seeing alot of posts about "our" first round pick in next years draft. My question being.. Didn't we trade that pick to San Antonio for the rights to Barbosa?? Or was that trade for a "conditional" first round pick? A little help would be appreciated. Go Suns!!!

It is top 24 protected and top 20 protected the next years.

Wow, didn't realize that. That trade looked pretty good tonight. I really like Barbosa alot (even before tonight). He seems to really bring alot of enthusiasm. Plus he's a great athlete and still just a kid. Kid of reminds me of Gilbert Areanes (did I spell that right?). Anyways thanks for the help there slin.

At the time, the Spurs hoped to sign kidd and were reluctant to add rookie salaries when their focus was on free agency. This pick is more protected than the one owed from Cleveland about a zillion years ago.
