NOT really a "shocker" but I'm thinking Kurt is simply a warm-weather QB. His BEST years were with the Rams in a perfect environment. ...And last years' Seattle game comes to mind quickly as a very forgettable performance. I'm not saying that poor pass protection doesn't figure into it. But, well, let's see how well he plays this Sunday back in perfect weather conditions. ...And it might be interesting to check his history in games with less than ideal weather conditions.

I know we've spent the pass week analizing, dissecting, and looking for ways to improve and WIN. Well, Sunday is almost here. Let's see if our coaching staff & players have done their homework, as well. GO CARDS!!

I agree, much of this has to do with his small hands not being able to grasp the wet football too well IMO.

I wouldn't really use the Seattle game as an example though, since his recievers were BJ, Urban and Morey.

Even with our defense completely sucking ass, we would be 4-0 most likely if 2 things happen.

1. Our red zone offense doesn't blow in Wash and NY. (should have been up 14-0)

2. Kurt has even average ball security.

There could be something to that NSDF.

I am fairly certain that Warner's history indicates that he performs at a much higher level indoors than out. It may be coincedental, in that both in St. Louis and Arizona his home games were indoors and teams do better at home. But I think that for Warner that the trend also has stayed true regarding away games.

Is there documentation about Kurt's small hands. I say this because I remember a picture that compared Kurt's what-seemed-adequate hands vs. J. McCown's much smaller hands. Please note that I'm over fifty and may have this backward. Such memory comes with the territory.

CBS Sportsline used to have career situational stats but I can't seem to find them right now.

Last year Kurt was virtually identical turf and grass, slightly higher rating on turf due to higher YPC number.

The only intriguing thing that jumped out was he had essentially twice the attempts on grass as on turf (299 to 152) and yet was sacked 10 times on grass and 10 times on turf. So for some reason we pass blocked better on the road last year which is weird.

I think NSDF's theory is more about indoor and outdoor, not really turf and grass. Also you said that was just last year. It would be interesting to see his lifetime statistics, if anyone runs across them.

Actually I stayed home last week.

Maybe your obsession with me has something to do with our losing??

I'm pretty sure he has small hands. Which is why he has to grip the ball on the end instead of the middle where the laces are.
