Suggs, Newman, and Rogers are gone... At #6 We have Andre Johnson and Palmer/Leftwich on the board. We need need the QB more then Johnson. But... Someone wants to trade up for our pick. Say this team is willing to give 2 #1s this year... which doesnt seem likley except if the Jets really want Johnson... Or this years #1 and a #1 next year. Assuming we dont drop out of the top 15, we take Kyle Boller or someone like Peterson/Robertson. Next year.. We have a subpar season... No rec steped up to claim the #1 role so we draft Roy Williams/Reggie Williams ect.. Now we have anotehr pick to use for our glaring need on defense.. Whatever that may be.

Question...

Would you trade the rights to Palmer/Leftwich for 2 #1s this year or, #1 this and #1 next year? Also keep in mind we might be in the running for Eli Manning next year.

Honestly I think I would pull the trigger. As much as I love Leftwich, this draft is so deep on D that we can revamp our defense this year. Allowing us to fill in some spots on offense in next years draft.

Mark my words Palmer will not be available when we pick he is going #1. Leftwich and Suggs will be taken after the first 5.

On Sports Center they were talking to Chris Mortensen and he said the chances of the Bengals taking Palmer #1 are now 50/50.

Not with the Raiders or Philly but, I would with the Jets (this years) or someone else with an earlier pick.

The Jets, Cowboys, or Vikings seem to be the kind of orginizations that would do something like that...
