he was interviewed on KDUS.
It was the best interview of a Cardinal coach I have heard since I moved here in 1994. When you listen to Mac - you think - he sounds like the nicest guy in the world.. - but he never really said anything that meaningfull...more "heart of a lion" "stong moral fiber" type stuff.
green talked about how he will get more production out of the players here...and identify free agents that can fill needs in areas that he thinks need help....
it was not 100% specific - but he has not even talked to the players yet (he said that was Friday).
I think Green has a really efficient use of words...he gets his point across...you understand exactly what he is saying...and he goes on.
It is hard for me to contrast green vs. mcginnis...but I think Green will call them as he sees them and answer the questions...example:
hypothical question (not one asked of green): How did ronald mckinnon play Sunday against team x?
standard mac answer...ronald mckinnon...let me tell you about ronald mckinnon....then five minutes on how he is the 1st guy mac would take into a foxhole with him, heart of a lion...etc.etc. that runs on for awhile.
standard green answer: ron made a few good plays but he needs to work on x and y in order to improve his game...may have a sentence or two more...then that is it.
Green is less philisophical and more specific...based on what I have heard on the radio in the past 24 hours....
Green was very cordial to the media so far..it may have helped that he was in the media for a year or two.
