I need help finding a couple movies

I've been trying to find a couple movies I remember as a kid with no luck.

#1 is about some lake(or other body of water) that everyone believes is inhabited by a monster. The kid in the movie figures out that it is a sunken crane. Kinda vague, but that is all I remember.

#2 is about some girl that walks through a mirror to another world with some stuffed animal. The bad guy is a witch and there is an apple tree enclosed in a glass case. I remember a mountain of books.

Both movies came out in the 80s.

"The Hugga Bunch" is about all I could find for that one. I believe it has it all: A girl, a mirror, a stuffed animal, a witch, books, some kind of tree behind a glass case, etc.
